MEDROS utilizes Drosophila to take a novel, whole animal approach to target and drug discovery for a broad palate of diseases including cancer metastasis and metabolism-related diseases. We are founded on the scientifically validated premise that traditional methods of gene discovery neglect the complex tissue and cell interactions that occur in the context of a whole animal. Our whole animal approach embraces disease complexity to improve the prospects for better efficacy with lower risk for toxicity.

MEDROS uses its expertise in the creation and analysis of Drosophila models of human disease to provide contract research services to pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. These services include creation of novel Drosophila models, target discovery projects, analysis of the effects of human drugs in Drosophila, as well as custom approaches to meet the needs of the customer.
